These Aladdin oil lamps are sold to galleries and craft shops nationally, through a few select art festivals in Eastern U.S., and to private collections internationally.
Quality and gracefulness are combined in each aladdin oil lamp created - to give pleasure to your eye and heart. They use the flame to complete the flowing oil lamp forms - to give each one the desired physical balance in the combination of clay and fire.
By specializing in handcrafted oil lamps exclusively for 37 years, they have been able to extensively investigate, experiment, and refine to the smallest details all the intricate possibilities related to the crafting of the aladdin pottery oil lamp.
Each oil lamp edition is made with high heat-resistant clay from the potter’s kick wheel-thrown original, with a pulled handle and a chopstick held in his teeth to form the spout.
Multiple glaze layers are applied by hand to create a variegated, marbleized glaze finish. After two or three kiln firings, a unique lamp emerges unlike any other lamp made.
No two lamp glazes are alike with some variations in pigment.
